can't lock trunk

How does the trunk lock? I didn't know there was a button on the trunk, I've been using the key, then someone opened it with a button. I don't feel secure putting in there.

why not? the trunk is locked along with all the other doors when you lock the driver's or passenger's doors.

the button won't open the trunk unless you use the fob or the key.
