First my car is a 95 5speed.

A piece of metal was loose and attached to the drain plug magnet during my clutch replacement. It's not damaged at all no scars, scratches or anything like that it looks like some kind of metal cover or something

Ofcourse I'm a little worried now and have no idea what it's purpose is to the function of the transmission so I need a little help identifying this piece. My transmission shifts pretty smooth so no problems there. Here are some pics>>>>>

Thanks,

Can you give it some scale? It's not a part I've seen...

Now that I think of it I do remember seeing a similar and almost identical piece but much longer while looking through the shifter access cover inside the transmission. ????

hey whats up i find it on the manual of a 92' page MT 17 and the name isoil gutter and it supose to be installed on adapter plate, in other words on the middle section on the transmission that holds the main bearings and bothgear shafts... i think it help to keep control of lubrication on a particular gear but i dont know if is critical or afect the performance or durability of some component... good luck..

Yup your right I believe this is it now like you said: will this affect the performance or durability on such part? So I think in the mean time I'm gonna head out to a dealer and simply ask one of the Master techs if this could be a problem, or I may just try a Transmission shop.
