I just purchased a 97 I30 from an auction with minor fornt end damage. I just replaced the radiator, condensor and fan. So I figure it's a done deal until I tried to start the motor. Nothing, I've replaced the battery, pulled the starter out and had it checked its fine. Today I just traced and checked the wiring form the ignition to the relays and then to the starter, but everything checks out fine. Please someone tell me where I should check next

Have you validated voltage on those lines as well? Does the car do anything at all?

When I turn the key I do hear a faint clicking sound coming form somewhere around the throttle body and a clicking sound coming form one of the relays that's closest to the battery. I haven't cheked the voltage yet.

Buy a voltometer at sears (about $20.) and check the relays, (continuity test) put the neg (black probe) before the relay, and the pos (red probe) after the relay and have a friend turn the engine over. If it reads the same as when the engine is off, replace that relay. If it shows a spike in voltage, check the next relay and the solonoid on the starter.

Ok I've just finished testing the voltage in the relays and the were fine but when I checked the fusebox under the dash found the following

ST 7.5A Start Sig - no voltage BAT 7.5A INT ILL - no voltage

Did you check the ignition relay next to the fuse box under the dash or just the fusible links under the hood?
