Can't get spacing right with DEH-80PRS

I'm trying to install an DEH-80PRS using the Nissan double DIN face along with a universal pocket I got from Crutchfield. Everything fits but only if I leave off the trims for both the receiver and the pocket. But if I leave the trims off, there's a small amount of space between the radio/pocket and the front of the face. What can I do to rectify this?

BTW, this is my very first time doing anything like this.
