okay. I got my ka-t running kind of. currently its all bolted up except the exhaust running open turbo elbow. lol (very loud btw)

Now...obviously not having messed with the ka sense last year I had some trouble getting all the grounds and such in place..but now thats done..we got spark, air but too much fuel. we took the fuse out of the fuel pump and the car starts and now idles fine without the fuel pump on..but with the pump on it just bogs right out. we thought the injectors or the fpr, replaced both and didn't change anything. we put hotter plugs in..nothing.

My setup is a ka-t bottom mount t25@13psi 550 dw injectors fmic 300zx maf walbro 255... Any ideas? Thanks

Wrong impedence injectors? May need a resistor box if you're using DSM injectors or certain RX7 injectors.

But I say bypass the factory FPR and put an aeromotive one in or something.

Do you have a wideband? Might help to see if you're running stupid rich on idle when the pump is on before it bogs out.

I'm running dw injectors..and no I"m not running any other management other then a tune ecu. for the car to run fine without the fuel pump is there something wrong? or should that happen with these kind of injectors?

My guess is fuel pressue. From what I recall a walbro bumps up fuel pressure to 52 when stock fuel pressure should be around 42. Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Could get an inline fuel pressure gauge to verify.

with your setup you shouldve at least been running a fuel pressure gauge. get/borrow one and see what it is. im bettin youll need to buy a fpr and adjust the pressure

I don't want to blow my engine trying to get this engine to run..were also having a ground problem. My oil line is running over my ka and if it taps the strut tower bar it sparks and s***. I'm getting confused I gotta work this stuff out...but I also gotta figure this fuel problem.

The thing once the walbro is installed it dies out within 3 seconds..but idles like a kitten without the pump. I'm so confused. Anyone ever have this happen?

i had somewhat similar to your problem but mine was that the fuel pump wouldn't come on. found out that that when i did the electric fan wire and hook the wire up on the fuel pump fuse, it elongated the terminal to where it wasn't touching the fuse. (removed the wire and had it turned on by a thermo switch).

after that i couldn't figure out why it was dumping hella fuel on idle. later found out that i switch the wires (signal and power) on the maf sensor. so at idle it was seeing a 30% air. only found out when i hooked up a safc

hope it helps

I just switched the wires and it idles smoothly now. I was using the jwt wiring guide and I double checked it was exactly like it...but that guide is backwards..I wasted a whole oil change...12 plugs, 3 full days and a bad headache trying to figure that out..I was about to send my ecu back..

But oh well..now onto more important things..getting oil my leaks fixed. lol my coolant line is leaking some..i need a new radiator and my oil drain was leaking some. woo.
