A little over a month ago, I blew my head gasket. This past week I got everything put back together (to factory spec, thank you fsm) and the car starts, but it won't run for any real amount of time. Here's a list of things I've tried:Methodically went around with the distributor one spline at a time and tested it. I've got it at the setting that ran the strongest now.Noticed my throttle cable had a little slack, so I tightened that up. Now I can rev it pretty well, but it still shakes some and dies AS SOON AS I let it down to idle. The head's had a valve job and looks brand new, but I don't think they moved the cams, they appeared to be in the exact same position when I put the sprockets back on.

Any suggestions? If you need more info, I'd be more than happy to provide it.-fuse.

I'll re-check them, but I replaced all of them on the back-side of the head, and they fit pretty snugly so I don't think that would be it. Also, is there a diagram or set of photos that's more useful than the fsm? I found the fsm vacuum diagram to be practically worthless.-fuse.
