My car's smoking more than a crackhead on payday, and based on the tests my mechanic and I ran it's because my entire PCV system is basically not working at all. I went to my local Nissan dealer (Yark in Toledo, OH) and ordered a new seperator ($70) and a new PCV hose that comes from the intake manifold down to the seperator ($11). Next day i call to see if they were coming in on Thursday or Friday and he says that the hose is no longer manufactured so he's going to have to give me my money back on it. He then checked to see if any dealership has one anywhere across the country, but no dice. The schematic that he printed off for me shows a part number of 11828M for this hose.

I would prefer to get one brand new, regardless of the price as long as it's fairly reasonable. If I can get one that's nearly new I guess it'll do for now, but I'm having problems finding a place that sells non-manufactured stuff for our cars. Please help, I'm getting desperate and I have to drive an hour and a half to get to a wedding next weekend which = about 2-3 quarts of oil round trip

Thanks in advance

Trying asking one of our Nissan parts sponsors in the Advertisers section. Maybe the guy you talked about was full of **** when he said there wasn't a single hose in existence in any dealership, anywhere. That *does* sound kind of fishy. Hit up Midway or Pinnacle.

This may not help at all but aside from checking with our sponsors, couldn't you go to a parts store (say autozone) and show them the hose and see if they can find a matching hose to fit??? I know that the local autozone in my town seems to have a wide selection of hoses and I wouldn't doubt if they were able to match it...... But then again, I haven't tried to check into this... Good luck and I hope that you are able to find a replacement!

No unfortunately going to Autozone wouldn't work. I actually work for AZ, and we don't have anything like that hose (pre-formed & flame-retardent). I'll try asking some of our sponsors...thanks for the help thus far and if you come up with anything else please let me know!

Take a picture of it. Depending on what it looks like, I may be able to tell you inexpensive and proper way to replace it.

It won't cure it, but it will help. Getting rid of sludge usually takes multiple flushes and sometimes a pan drop.
