Hi Folks,

Would anyone care to humor me an tell me where I can find this fill plug? I've looked everywhere and just can't find it.

There is one, what looks to be a plug, right above the starter. It's about the right level, but it's a *very* small bolt, like 12mm head or so. Plus it's dangerously close to the flywheel: I don't care to fill the bell housing. :-)

Am I looking for a 3/8-1/2" 'drive' plug, like that's on my 240sx? This should be large enough to stick a finger though, correct (to check level)?

Thanks.Jamie

Its right next to the trans mount and uses a 1/2"square drive.

I'll look, but are you sure? A 1/2" drive should have been easy to spot, unless they 'hid' it under a guset. This is the VG30E engine/transmission.

Thanks.

If it is like the U11's (85-88) It fills through the speedometer gear hole. It's a pain to fill.

If it is indeed, do you fill untill it over-flows out?

I made no effort to quantify how much came out, because I'm used to just filling as needed.

I'm pretty sure I spotted that sensor.

I can't remember the exact specs but I think there is a ridge about an inch down inside of the speedo gear hole, and I thing I fill it up to there. The speedo gear is located at the back corner of the trans just under the oil filter mounting location. I haven't done this in a while, sorry about the lack of details.
