Can't find a "how to" on advancing timing on RB25DET

Does anyone have a link w/pics and instructions on advancing the timing on an rb25? I've been told it's something else I should try. Thanks in advance for your time and input.

By adjusting the CAS on the front of the motor, you will see it has elongated holes so it can twist to change the degree it is set at. Get the service manual as it has pictures and what not.
