My seats are not in great shape and I'm getting a nice kit to cover them. I have scoured the internet as much as I can and can't seem to find anything to replace the foam insides.

Does anyone know where I could find seat padding in the proper shapes, or have people usually turned to (presumedly very expensive) custom cuts?

Thanks!

Typically, you would grab better seats than your own from a wreck, or get a professional re-upholsterer to "rebuild" your seats.

Thank you! Was wondering why I couldn't find anything...

Any idea what a professional would charge to rebuild my front seats? This car was previously smoked in, eaten in, etc, so I am looking for new foam along with the new carpets, and trim pieces I'll be putting in.

Not sure what the going rate would be in your part of the world.
Prices are probably a lot different here in Australia.

I got a quote up here in Canada to refinish both my front seats. $1000-1200 with tweed and $1500+ for leather.
I gladly refuse the offer and got some skins for less than $400 for both and took about 4 hours of work.
Fearspect I sent you a PM.

As a newer user, I can't seem to send PMs out. Hopefully this gets sorted out soon, meanwhile, do you mind sending me a PM of an email that I can contact?

Usually a cheaper way is, when you have them re-upholstered, the guys doing it can usually add some extra foam to fill in and it turned out great on my car!
