Hey everyone.Sorry for being newbish, but I saw a car that I could not reconize, and it is bothering me.

Anyways, it was a really nice looking car. It looked like it had the front end of a 240sx fastback. Infact, it almost looked like a 240sx except that it was shorter and the arse of the car was much different. The hatch was more conservative and the car was noticably not as long. The pillar from the side of the car to the roof was like a parralellogram, not rounded like the 240sx. I think it is similiar in size to a 100NX.

On the side of the car, i thought i saw the marking "GX" but when i got home, i couldnt find any GX that even closely resembled a sports coupe.

Can anyone tell me which car it is?

Thanks in advance.

2nd gen RX-7? does'nt sound like a probe or MX-6. and i doubt anyone would have a problem spotting a 1st gen DSM.

The older gen rx-7s had GXEs, and another one I can think of with a very similar front end would be a ford probe.

the 1st and 2nd gen RX-7s had the trim designation on the front fender right in front of the doors. not sure if they ever had a GX model. probes had the trim designation on the doors towards the front.

its easy to tell 1st and second gen RX-7s apart. 1st gens nose and tail were more pointed and had a rounded looking hatch glass. 2nd gen was more squared looking and would look closer to an S13 FB (actually more square than an S13).

its kinda like confusing S12s with early to mid 80s celicas or even an AE86 corolla. they all have pretty similar lines at a distance

Could it have been a Conquest or one of its varients perhaps? I'm thinking of low-selling cars cars that had similar shapes to the 240sx and conservative looking hatches.
