All right Nico, what's the deal here? I haven't been able to edit my posts for quite some time now. I found this old thread and it didn't help:

those-with-missing-edit-quote-buttons-l ... 89195.html

Are there any other users having this issue? Is there a solution to this? I use the edit function all the time and it's especially useful on project logs. I'm gearing up to start working on my S14 again and would really appreciate having the edit option back.

Thanks,
-Dexter

I've now logged out of every device I can get my hands on. Anything else is something remote and unimportant. I'll log back in tomorrow to see what's new.

Thanks.

I sent him an email suggesting that, and to use the free version of CCleaner from Piriform to do the cleaning. What baffles me is, the problem is cross platform, no matter what device he uses, he has this problem. :gotme

If he's using Chrome, wouldn't it carry to every device, as the browser info is all the same? Or do you think it's in a cookie?

I don't use chrome. On computers I use Firefox and on mobile I use the Android browser.

Nothing has changed...

Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/re ... t-problems

If you're having problems with Firefox, resetting it can help. The reset feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks and open tabs.

What does the reset feature do?

All of your Firefox settings and personal information are stored in a profile folder. The reset feature works by creating a new profile folder for you while saving your important data.

Firefox will save these things:
  • Bookmarks
  • Browsing history
  • Passwords
  • Open windows, tabs and tab groups
  • Cookies
  • Web form auto-fill information
  • Personal dictionary
These items and settings will be removed:

Extensions and themes, website-specific preferences, search engines, download history, DOM storage, security settings, download actions, plugin settings, toolbar customizations, user styles and social features will be removed.

Note: Your old Firefox profile will be placed on your desktop in a folder named "Old Firefox Data." If the reset didn't fix your problem you can restore some of the information not saved by copying files to the new profile that was created. If you don't need this folder any longer, you should delete it as it contains sensitive information.

I don't even have firefox on my mobile devices, so how is resetting firefox going to help on my tablet?

As stated, this is a cross platform problem and only with this site. It's very odd. I'm half tempted to register another name just to see what it does.

 No duh. I said I was aware it was a cross-platform problem. I'm trying to suggest a different approach, by tackling one medium at a time. For that matter, try running FireFox with all the add-ons and extensions disabled.
