I am having trouble with my 2019 Nissan Rogue, where I am unable to accelerate and the RPM goes up to 3000 within 10 miles of driving but the speed does not increase. This issue seems to be particularly prevalent in cold weather and I have found several similar reports online regarding Nissan Rogue models from previous years. I recently had a maintenance service in December 2022, and the service team noted that I need to replace the transmission oil. I am concerned about the cause of this problem and would like to inquire about potential solutions to resolve the issue. Could the transmission oil replacement resolve this issue, or is there any other repair or maintenance that I should consider?

When they start to slip as badly as that, there's usually no hope. You should get the codes read, but if you find a P1F70 in the TCM, the transmission has had it.

Now my car starts running normally. So the issue was the temperature.

That still means something is hanging up when it's cold. If it's the Valve Body then I'd say there's a good chance all that slippage damaged something. I'd scoot to the local parts store and get a free scan.

Just went to the dealership. They didn’t find any codes and said come back if the same thing happens. Should I just ignore this?

Not suprising that to this day that Nissan's cvt's are still a crapshoot.

It might not be the CVT if there are no past codes, it's possible a MAF or fuel condition is convincing the ECM that it's loaded and has to keep the RPM's up. Try cleaning the MAF and doing an IAVL, and take a look at the IAT sensor to make sure it's reading something realistic.
