Ok here is my Problem, I just put in the SR into my 89 240. I got the wireing all hooked up and engine running, but it won't rev over 4500rpms or so when in gear. Its not a vaccuum leak it is just being stuborn. Also, my gaguecluster and interior lights won't work on a regular basis, they don't come on when the car starts, will come on at random while driving and shuts off when I slow down to a certain point or if I turn somwhat sharp. Also, the other day my battery light came on when I was driving. Any insite to which harness to look at for the dash prob. would be appreciated and same with the engine. Please don't recommend Heavy Throttle, I already tried them and they were no help. Thanks.Jim

well for the gaugecluster make sure you have a good groung. i am an electrican and it sounds like an open somewhere. as for the battey light, is your battery new, and check to make sure your alternator is charging your battery fully. hope this helps

I had the same problem with the battery light. Is it just ON, or is it flickering? Mine was flickering like crazy. Ended up being that the wire for the alternator was exposed and was grounding out on the frame. Just something for you to look out for. Hope this helps....

ur electrical sounds like a bad ground somewhere...as for the 4500rpms, what kinda spark plugs are you using? also, could be the fuel pump...
