my ****ing car wont start and friend keeps saying it miss-firing and i'm like the sound sounds like a back-fire to me. it does this while it starts and runs for like a second.

what is wrong??? i am tooo pissed right now to give all the details and plus i gotta go to the ****ing hosiptal becasue i tried swapping the fuel filter lines and ****ing pulling the second line i got ****ing gas in my eye!!!!

i ran in the house and flushed my eye with warm water for a while and i seem alright now but i guess i better go to the hospital and make sure.

also i have no air intake temp sensor.. would that be the problem???

my friend says it'll run wihtout it and i'm like it will??? i don't think so.

i flushed em for maybe a minute and yeah it burned for a while afterwards but it went away. I dont have any vision problems after 6 or 7 incidents, but like i said if you are worried about it, you might have it checked out.

and def keep flushing them over and over just to be sure.

the mass air flow sensor can cause a lot of problems... ok so you're pretty pissed and cant explain.. this is what i do when my car messes up... i click on the search button and type in my car's symptoms.. what it's doing... then I just read the threads that were posted before when someone else had my same problem.. do you understand how I explained it? The search button has helped me a few good times and I think you should try it out .

It is not your air temp intake sensor... hooked up or unhooked it does not make a difference in the way the car idles... 90% chance it's you're IACV or AIV SEARCH FOR IACV!!! SEARCH for AIV!

The IACV is on the back of your intake manifold it takes all of 5min to remove it 5min to clean it and 5min to put it back on! just don't loose any pieces when you take it off...

alright if air intake temp sensor doesn't have anything do with idle then would it have anything to do with starting on a cold start???

even on a warm start my car is funny with trying to start it.

but cold start psshh i don't even bother anymore because it takes like 20 trys of starting it and then by that time I got a dead battery.

umm i don't have that.. while doing the motor installed i got rid of that thingy and plugged it up with a screw

was told i could get rid of it

if you took it out you don't have to worry about it... check the IACV (I bet this is the problem)... check your fuel filter... check your injectors.. check your spark plugs... check your cap and rotor... check your O2 sensor... check your MAF sensor.. check your coolant sensor... check your battery ground... this is all stuff you must do to get your car running in tip top shape...

okay so the AIV is that black plastic box on the driver's side... so if i removed it and plugged it up.. I don't need to worry about that being my problem???

Ok I just found a few for you... this does work if you just take some time to look... so next time, search. Some of these threads pertain to different engines.. but like us human beings, we're different people; some stronger, some faster, but we all work the same. Hehe.

How could the avi or the IACV be causing miss firing or back firing? Seems to me you have a timing issue. What was the last thing done to the car before this happend

lol u are a Tard' why were you swapping the fuel lines? If it's backfiring and running like complete *** then you might want to check your Mass Air Flow Sensor.

If the IACV is cloged it can cause back fireing misfireing and make your car run like crap... I know it's what was wrong with my car! once I fixed it my car runs smooth...
