can someone identfy what part this is, and what it does?

I pulled up the back seat of the vert today and these two boxes were there- sitting under the bottom cushion against the left side... they were almost tucked into the corner right by where the plastic interior piece that covers the body on that side...

So what is it? Theres two boxes, one of them was completely rusted apart. one connected to the other box, then ran to an orange wire into the harness. the flat thing pictured attached to the styrpfoam actually has some sort of circuit going through it as well.

I cant for the life of me figure out what it is. the whole group is only connected to the chassis (ground) and the orange wire, yet theres alot of circuitry in the (now disintegrated) box

Never mind, I figured out what it is: its some sort of gps locating device like Lojack...
