can someone help me? pilot bearing``

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i am doing a auto to manual swap and i need to get the auto pilot bearing out to install the manual one. the problem is that the bearing is siezed in there like crazy. ive tried a bearing puller. ive tried the fill and remove with pressure. and ive tried hammering into it with a flat head, ive tried prying it with a screw driver and pliers. what next? anyone?

btw - i have 89 240sx coupe

Drill4 small holes in it directly from the back, going toward the front of the motor...one at 12 o'clock, one at 3, 6, and 9.

Now the bearing is weakened, and you can grab it with a vise-grip, and it will crumble and fall out in a couple pieces.

I have done this successfully 3 times, once in the car, twice out...it's a pain, but works.

To determine the depth you need to drill, measure the depth of the bushing, and wrap some tape around the drill bit, so you know when to stop.
