Okay... this is what my situation is...

I have a white 96

and a wrecked ttz with wheels, tires, brakes, etc.

I would like to see a picture of powdercoated (preferably gunmetal) z wheels on a white s14, or atleast pics of the wheels on the white car and maybe i could visualize it.

the other choice is either gunmetal typhoons or adr sokudo 8's.

any pics you guys know of would be great... i'm having a rough time finding any.

also... how much do you think powdercoating would be?

ok... i'm thinking 17 inch typhoons... but what tires?

I will just get 5 lugs, use the z wheels after i convert, and put some drag radials on the rear z wheels for track use. maybe sell the fronts

gunmetal typhoons on a white 240 actually sounds really sweet. One of the feature cars in last months super street was autoimaging project d's 91 240sx, also white, with gunmetal typhoons.

What do you guys think of doing the 5 lug conversion and brake swap since i already have the stuff, and just using the z wheels for dragging (light, free) with some drag radials?

Then i could just get the 5 lug typhoons and use both.

just seems like a lot of money for relatively little benefit. You can get the 5-lug conversion for $500 from SR20parts.com, swapping the brakes would be about $325-$375 for 300zx calipers, then you have to factor in rotors, pads, and lines, I'd just sell the z wheels, used the money to buy another set of lightweight wheels. just my opinion, but if your willing to part with all that money, then go for it.

He said he has all the Z parts. All he would need to buy are the front hubs.

Exactly. I wouldn't even consider it otherwise.
