They look like 90-96. is there a part number anywhere????

IM not sure, but the 90-01 calipers are the same... the only difference that im aware of is the caliper bracket is different to accomodate the 296 dia rotor vs 280 dia rotor.... I think the calipers were the same, could be wrong though...

for drivers and passengers, theres a L and R on the calipre . For your reference, the bleeder has to be facing UP otherwise they wont bleed right.... shows clearly in the second pic.

Wes is right those are definitely 90-96 (i have both 94 and 97).those will look good painted up nice. since someone already started stripping off the crud.....I use jasco metal etch to prep the surface for max paint adhesion.

Jay, are the calipers themselves on Y33 vs G50 the same, and the only difference being the caliper bracket being farther apart for larger rotor? Or are the caliper bodies and the pads different too?

How can you tell between Y33 and G50 brakes??

Wes i maintain that even the calipers are slightly different. they *may* interchange, i haven't tried.look at this thread (4th picture from top), the fy33 caliper has shorter venting slots.

zerothread?id=107345

of course, you are correct that the brackets are different. for one thing, the 90-96 have pin snubbers, and 97-01 do not. i actually can't tell from this post's photos about the snubbers, i just assessed based on the vent holes and overall caliper 'look'.

you know the rears are same, mounting holes and all EXCEPT for the vented rotor and corresponding caliper and bracket being thicker.

Jay thanks, i made that thread you posted an article....

im sure the calipers would bolt up just the same, like we can put Z32 calipers on Qs....
