I have a 2007 Nissan Murano with 119,000 miles on it and was just told my transfer case seals need to be replaced and I need a oil cooler o-ring replaced as well. Can anyone tell me what these types of repairs should cost me so I have an idea if I am being overcharged. I've also had every single suspension system replaced in the time I've had my car. I am one of those people that only goes to my dealership for repairs and I get every single thing that is requested of me done to my car at the time the manual states it should be done, because I need it to last. This is the very first non American made car I've ever owned because I heard the non American cars lasted longer and would withstand more miles. I've never gotten with much care to my cars an American car to go over 100,000 miles so I thought I would try a non American car maker. Now I'm just over the 100,000 mile mark and I'm having massive problem but I still don't feel like I've gotten off scott free cause of all the maintenance and other work have paid for with this car. I guess I'm feeling a little disillusioned by my purchase of this non American car, I just expected more. I have never just gone in for an oil change and only had to have an oil change, the repairs that they come up with are always in the $500 plus range. The repairs they say I need now are going to be another $1200+. Anyone got any advice for me on that? Thanks, Molly

Get a second opinion. Find a reputable mechanic and ask if these repairs are needed or can they wait. Maybe a friend knows of a mechanic that is honest.
