I was trying to purhase some brass freeze plugs and some pistons and a guy at the store told me that the pistons from the 91-94 ka are different from the 95-98 ka, is this true? I havent heard that there is a difference.

They might be a different part number for some odd reason, but they're the same pistons.

Every retailer I've ever seen lists them nuder different part numbers, even aftermarket forged pistons are S13 / S14 - specific.

There must be some difference that we're not aware of.
