Saw a review today in which a paint and body shop informed a customer that the wax (specifically Meguiar's in this case) had caused his paint to crack and blotch because it,"sealed the clear coat so the heat could not escape on the hood." Has anyone experienced this or heard anything of this nature? This may have been an isolated incident or the paint shop was incorrect. Apparently, after having put the wax on and within a short time in the hot sun , the blotching and cracking began. I've never experienced this phenomena in my >30 yrs of waxing.... but you never know.

Any thoughts?

I would suspect the person who offered that explanation had been drinking the bong water. That's my opinion anyway.

I've waxed many a hood and I've never experienced any sort of problem. Was the paint very fresh and not dry?

Yeah Dos Lobos, or should I say Isabella...

My thoughts are, why do you have the exact same IP address as Infiniti Chica?

Why did you start a new account to troll (Infiniti Chica).

Is there an explanation as to why the IP addresses are the same???

I am curious...

If heard something like that on fiberglass. I heard fiber glass has a longer curing time. Or maybe if the paint was really fresh and then they say dont wax it for a month.

I say until an explanation is given, the ban stick should be whipped out.

Seems a lot of folks have jumped the gun (a pattern on this forum it seems) and then proceeded to become disrespeful (another pattern) with me also following their behavior with my daughter: Isa!

Same address-- same home! She lives with me... or better yet, I moved in with her since moving to US about 4-5 months ago (about the time I also joined the forum). I had no idea she had become a member when I returned to US but discovered so when we spoke about the site a few days ago, before she deleted her account. So, it seems both of us have been the subject of some discussion and the same level of disrespect has been shown to us both... although I'm not sure I deserved it on this one. I felt that my responses were always measured and respectful to all members here, even if there was a disagreement.

No need to cancel or delete my account since this will be my final post, also. My hope is that the forum will treat members with more respect and that a certain level of decency be expected if the forum is to continue to grow/attract new members.

No disrespect, but I have been a member of numerous forums for many years and I've seen many, many people in your exact same situation... however all of them have seem to have just moved in with their brother/sister/daughter/ex-wife/the Clintons as they get "busted." You'll have to forgive the community for being a little harsh on the thought of someone creating a fake persona to "troll." It happens and, unfortunately for the people who are truly not at fault, people get chastised for it.

If there really is two people behind the keyboard, perhaps the mods can think of some way to verify it and make a note of it so future mods don't let this happen again. We wouldn't want to run away an honest man.

I find it quite funny, that not even do you sound like the same person online when typing, but use the same little (--------) to add in text. Quite a similarity you all have there. NOT!

I will lock this since its another useless post by the same person.
