I have a 1989 s13 with a 93 rb20 and when i start the car it idle at 1 and a half and then very slowly climb to 2 or 3 rpm and just stays there, i tried looking for a vacuum leak but with no luck, can anyone tell me what else it could be... ?

What?

Set your TPS.

Your idle air control could be bad.

no sir! that is a result of a huge vacuum leak! You can tell that the tube expands and exposes the tear as it warms up. Inspect all them hoses! STAT!

I have looked at all the vacume lines/hose tooken off and inspected... then i tried starting fluid on the lines for rpms to increase but with no luck... and i also bought a new tps sensor from a 96 q45 that needs to be installled?

I am going to go ahead and say that the climbing idle is likely not due to your TPS. I have had a few different incorrect TPS's on my car and never had that particular issue.

Dunno, but the fact that you spelled "nissan" wrong in your title isn't lending you any credibility! lol

Are you using a q45 throttle body? They have some sort of cold start shenanegans built in that could maybe cause that.

Try unplugging your IAC and see if it remains stable, same with TPS.

i only have the q45 sensor, and yes the throttle body closed... and also if the IAC plug is already unpluged, when plugged in it idles even higher...

Are you setting the TPS to the correct values? Is your air regulator hooked up?Any leaks between the Maf and turbo?

Found out the problem, throttle body was not entirely closed... looked closed, adjusted the screw........ low idle, but after wiring in the tps the car did not run good, the car would not boost or go over 3,000... undid the wiring and know it wont start... can someone help me...

So you are still on the stock throttle body with just the q45 tps? if thats the case i would check the IACV. If its with a q45 throttle body adjust the screw on the front of the TB for the coolant temp activated idle control.

I'll check the IACV today... do you guys think it could be anything else?
