Its not worth the hassle to modify a s15 6 speed in a s13. Even to work with getting an s15 engine and transmission your still only beat half the battle. As far as the 500whp yes, as it is possible with just about any engine you just have to set it up for that. Think of the main purpose of the vehicle first. You can either upgraded the maf to like a z32 or if you tune with an Apexi FC you can get a MAP upgrade and ditch the maf. For 500whp you will probably need to invest in a twin scroll or top mount setup. Best bet is to read up and go through various threads. Most answers aren't just handed out in the text, but a little reading will tell you yes or no on certain things.

Ya know, getting more power than that rx7 wouldn't be too hard. You just need to make good choices. If you are building a drift car you are going to sacrifice a little on the straight line performance numbers. If its about putting down more power then that is not difficult at all and you have an insane number of motor options to choose from.

But you really should do a little reading through some of the different engine threads and projects to see what you will need to do. You are asking the same questions and bringing the same story as a lot of people and it gets really lame for people who have been around if everyday a person comes in say "hey I wanna be faster than x"...you use youtube. There are a plenty of videos with 500+whp 240's on there. Just look for 'em

Just throw in an LS1 and call it a day... and by day I don't mean in the literal sense of the word.

I don't think 500whp would be a good idea for the S15 6 speed trans. If you want 6 gears go vq35 6 speed trans.

I've heard s15 trannys don't hold up to abuse like the s13, s14s....not based on my personal experience but know a guy with a higher hp application who went through 3 S15 trannys pretty quick, then switched to an s13 and has had no problems since

It is bc the S15 transmission fits 6 gear plates into the same space as the S13/14 transmission fits 5 gears. I know that Broadfield runs the S15 trans on his S15 motor and used to make 400+ whp on a GT2871, and has since upgraded to a top-mount GT30. I believe he is still running the S15 trans. With that said, I know most shops/people recommend using a Z32 trans for those kind of numbers, esp. for drag.
