I don't know if they are pure aluminum but most likely they are. I took an old set of alloy rims to the recycler once; they weigh them and pay per pound.CrimsonQ wrote:Basically I have a set of 4 pies of a 90 Q.Ive tried selling/giving away, no one wants them.
Are these pure Aluminum (sp)? Will a local recycler take them?
Yeah, it is downright impossible without the specific tools that the tire places use. The tire lip has a bead in it (where it sits on the rim) that makes it tough to stretch the tire enough to bring it over the rim. Plus, you have to break the "seal" of the bead against the rim too with a lot of physical pressure (after you remove all the car, of course).CrimsonQ wrote:ok, any ideas on removing tires? lol
I cant get em off
What a rip off!!!!!!Bring em' by the shop. I'll do it for free for a nico member...............ask Wes!CrimsonQ wrote:Im a dude with no tools like that
tire shop wants 10 a piece to remove, that makes it worthless to do

Thank you.
Sure makes searches on Subjects useless.CrimsonQ wrote:Dear god I spelled a word wrong...
not to pick a fight, but your spelling has been a little silly in message bodies in the past.....And who says Im proud?? If ignorance is misspelling a word, then I think we are all doomed.maxnix wrote:Sure makes searches on Subjects useless.
Same for text in message bodies.
But who cares? We're proud to be ignorant Americans soon to be owned by the Chinese!
Just call me Bubba.
We are doomed! But that is not the point. Having the title correct does help the search function do a better job finding stuff - Brian is right about that - and it took me 10 to 15 seconds to fix it. No big deal! <shrug>CrimsonQ wrote:
