Do I just need to put in the switches, and will the seats heat up, or do I need more? If not...what exactly do I need for everything to work?
Thanks for the help with this...I really appreciate it!
So...I would need the switches, and the heating elements for the seats?QX4ME wrote:I really doubt Nissan would install the heating element with no switch. Production cost would be too high if they do that way.
I see your point about being in Florida...but here in Wisco...I would really like them.Towncivilian wrote:You're welcome.
I haven't done this retrofit. If I ever found the parts at a junkyard I'd consider it depending on their prices, but there isn't much of a need for heated seats in Florida so it isn't really my highest priority. I haven't even checked for the necessary wiring harnesses or seat mounting points for the heating elements.
OK..thanks for the info. I'll take a look tomorrow, and report back.Towncivilian wrote:If you can get the colors of the two wires, you can look in the FSM for the heated seat harness wires and see if they match.
Where do i find the FSM?Towncivilian wrote:If you can get the colors of the two wires, you can look in the FSM for the heated seat harness wires and see if they match.
I found it...but I dont understand these diagrams at all!Brewcity wrote:Where do i find the FSM?Towncivilian wrote:If you can get the colors of the two wires, you can look in the FSM for the heated seat harness wires and see if they match.
I will check tonight, and let you know...I know off the top of my head that the 2 wires coming from the floor through the carpet are covered in black tape or has a black covering.Towncivilian wrote:Page GI-11 might help you with reading wiring diagrams, and GI-13 has a color code chart.
What colors are the wires on the harness under the seat?
OK...sounds good. I will do that and let you know.Towncivilian wrote:I'm unsure. I would note down both harnesses' wire colors (look just before the harness plug) to compare later.
