Hey guys, do you guys know if the stock navigation system can play dvds too.

If not is there away you can bypass that to play dvds and not navis only?

thanks!

There are ways to play DVD's on your navigation screen. It is something that i am going to modify in my G in the next month or so.

#1 You will need an aftermarket DVD player, or possibly you can get the double din adapter and install an aftermarket deck that allows for DVD play and you can have two screens available. There is a navigation / DVD conversion piece you will need for the input mode for the navi screen.

I have also heard of a chip that allows for the stock DVD player to play DVDs, but I have heard little information on this and haven't followed up on it much as it could prove problematic to the navi system itself

If you decide to go aftermarket, this is an idea I've given a few people here, and I plan on doing it myself once I have the time and money.
