Currently running a 3inch downpipe halfway back, then it bolts up to my 2.5inch 5zigen exhaust. Running around 10 psi. Am I playing with fire here and should upgrade ASAP or am I good for another few months so I can save up some money?

you should be ok, although you'd gain some with a complete 3"

I'm still running a 2.5' exhaust, and I'm running 16 psi from a GT32. However, I also have an electronic exhaust cut-out at the end of the downpipe, and with it open it's substantially faster than when the exhaust needs to go all the way out the muffler (I'm running no cats or resonators).

I think you'll be fine; you can always upgrade.

You'll be absolutely fine. I've heard idiots on here and other boards before that act like 2.5 inch is too restrictive for turbo, but it's not. A lot of factory turbocharged cars run exhausts 2.5 inches or less.

Sure you'll gain some spool up and top end with a larger exhaust, but it won't hurt anything.

no, you're not playing with fire, and yes, your exhaust can handle it.

your exhaust is not going to spontaneously combust or catch fire if it is too small.
