Can memory seat option be installed in 2010 EX35?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Just bought the car and did not realize it was missing this option which we love on our M45. Can the dealer install it and if so is it a major deal or fairly economical (less than $400). I think the car has the 8 way power seat already.

I'm thinking it's a matter of swapping out the piece of wood on the door with one that has the 3 boxes for the buttons, putting the module with the 3 buttons in and connecting it to a connector that I'm guessing (hoping) is already on the car.

If it's more than that it's probably impossible of very expensive.

Any thoughts?

Call the dealer.

You would have had your answer by now.

I have. Just thought I would see what the other side's experience and/or ideas are. I'm guessing the lack of a response from the dealer is not a good sign.

So they wouldn't even give you a quote?

Unreal.

I'd say it is easily done, but might not be something the dealer wants to tackle because... they've probably never done it before.

Good luck.

Heard from the dealer late today and it cannot be done. This was via a quick text message from my sales rep so when I see him later this week (to pick up a couple of things) I'll ask why not. If I learn more I'll post it here. I was hoping it was relatively easy...oh well. Still love the car.

Dealers don't mod cars. They only fix what's there and broken. You could probably find someone to do it for you but getting the parts would be near impossible unless you could find a wrecked EX with the parts you need.
