So weird thing, I drove my car home, and it was running perfect. Me and my friend hang out for a few hours and then i go to drive him home and i can immediately tell im missing a cylinder.

I checked spark first, and it was fine. So reason would have it that the injector isnt working. I will check in the morning, because its like 1 am right now, but my question is, can injectors just fail for no reason like that?

I am having the same problem with my car. It has something to do with ethier the spark or injectors. Sorry to steal your thread but maybe someone else out there can help both of us out. Btw i would like to find out if my spark is in good condition, any help on how i can find this out? thanks

If something sneaks by the filter it could clog the injector.

Are you sure its not timing? I jumped timing on my ZX2 and I thought I was missing my 3rd cylinder b/c of the codes comming up...

"Jump" timing? haha Not likely with our timing chains... Unless your motor is REALLY bad.

I would think its time for wires and/or plugs, cap and rotor, but first, did you test all wires for spark with the plug in the stem or did you just use the screwdriver method?

injectors fail all the time. troubleshoot to make sure that is your issue, or just replace it with a friends' plug to see if that helps.

replacing one at a time is a temp fix though, save up for 4 and replace your filter, purge your lines with good gas before you put it back together.

Injector problems suck..I think the are even worse on SoHC engines. I had a problem with mine missing, started all of a sudden like that. I changed plugs, wires, blah blah blah..full tune up fuel filter etc. still was missing. Then I got a set of used injectors, still missing, got another set of injectors started up still missing. Well for some reason I grabbed one of the injectors while the car was trying to idle, and noticed the idle changed..WTF!! Well I turned it like a dizzy and the car ran better the more I rotated it. Upon further inspection I noticed one of my wires on that injector was busted..fixed the wire. problem solved..Maybe not ur problem, but maybe it could help someone?
