you can but stainless lines make the job so much easier trust me. the oil restrictor can be built in the turbo itself or in the banjo bolt. if yuo have stock lines im sure they were made right for that turbo so you should be fine. but really invest in some ss lines. you will be thankful later.

So the restrictors are in the lines? I have the s14sr if that helps. And how does the SS lines make things easier?

when bolting the turbo back to the head it makes the job so much easier by giving you a lot more play in the lines. i dont think the s14 sr has the restrictor in the line i think its probably built in the turbo.

You CANNOT use those lines! You have to get the ones with the oil restrictor or youll blow your oil seals. You also need the oil drain tube, available from FRSport.com

Check out my thread I picked all that stuff up already

Welll see I have the s14sr with the T28. I thought that they use the same lines and I also thought you needed the lines and drain tube if you have the s13sr?

SS lines ftw!! you can use stock s13 oil and coolant lines but i think you have to bend them slightly and ive heard its a pain in the a**. try to steer away from circuit sport lines, although they are cheaper they use banjo fittings and are not spinning a/n fittings and are a bit of a pain to install. Its the classic case of you get what you pay for..and when you dont pay out of the pocket you pay in frustration and tool throwing!!

Check the S14 FSM and see if the lines have oil restrictors in them from the factory, I still think you should splurge and go with SS lines to save yourself some trouble but thats just my opinion!

Is the restrictor in the lines or the turbos though?

Stock banjo fitting (that screws into your block) for oil supply line to your turbo has the restrictor in it. If you get a new T28, it will have the restrictor in the top fitting that screws in the turbo. If you get a turbo from somebody and it is missing the fitting, you need to get one, "if" you are going to bypass the factory fitting, by installing a SS hose kit.
