I really like the way the stock shroud and fan look better than aftermarket fans and no shroud. I want to make my car look as factory as possible. Can i use this set up? Can i sue the stock fan and shroud with a afterket radiotor for the 240/sr20 or will it not fit a aftermarket one? I plan on using a greddy or blitz FMIC by the way. and this is is a 91 s13 hatch with a red top going in.

ThanksShawn

Umm first of all the FMIC is going to be infront of the radiator. I don't understand why that would concern you with the radiator fan. Anyway....your stock KA24 radiator will work but the shroud will not! so you will have to lose that and replace it with a JDM one and/or JDM radiator. Also if you decide to keep the stock USDM radiator you will have to upgrade to electric cooling fans which can be found at http://www.heavythrottle.com the setup I am getting is a dual 14" fan kit and its only $250. Not a bad price to pay to ensure the safety of your engine.

I hope this bit of info helps...

So can I have this setup:

SR20det JDM radiator, with stock fan and stock everything else?

well i was worried that the font mount would block too much air from the radiator. i was under the impression this could happen whits hot out. Do you know if the stock shroud will bolt up to a aftermearket radiator?

ThanksShawn

I don't see why you couldn't use an electric fan with an SR20DET shroud with an SR20DET radiator. You won't be able to use the KA shroud at all, and I don't recommend using a KA radiator.

The shroud *might* not fit well on an aftermarket radiator, it might fit perfectly, hard to say. However, I'm sure it will fit with a little creativity.
