Can i use the old auto brake pedal for the 5spd swap!!?

Alirght here's the scoop. I'm in the middle of a 5spd swap and i need to know if i can use the automatic brake pedal? i was thinking about cutting it to reduce the size...is that gonna work? Help me out guys. Thanks.
