im going to be buying some bigger (and perhaps better condition) injectors for my car in an effort to try and get it running right (ill just correct with the afc until i can use all the fuel). my question is: i know dsm injectors are low impedance, can i just ebay it up for a set of those? if not, what about fc rx7 gsl injectors? i think the turbo II are high impedance (?) so they would have to be from a non turbo. are there any other cars i have forgotten about that i might be able to steal injectors from for under 50 bucks? im kinda broke, as usual. thanks!

RX-7 Turbo II injectors are a direct drop in replacement but you get 550cc instead of 370cc if i can remember correctly. Give those a try. Lots of junkyards could probably get em for you too.

Ya I am using RX-7 second Generation model, they are direct bolt on, but if you decided to buy them from a junk yard or any other places, make sure that you mentions to them that you need 4 injectors not 2, RX-7 came with 2 550cc injectors and 2 740cc injectors ( primary and secondary injectors on RX-7)

if you want to see pics of RX-7 550cc injectors, visit my website, http://www.freewebs.com/pulsargtr/

Well it depends how much hp you are aiming for, you can't install bigger injectors and you have a set up of 200hp, you injector size have to match your hp , the 740cc injectors are used if you are looking any where around 400hp-550hp or around that range. Also if you are looking to keep your car street drivable, well it will not run at its best at lower rpm

yea my goals are around 45-550 hp. depends whats the most i can get out of the motor. But with the write computer management and every tunnign done right i believe it should be fine at any rpm.

so are the ca injectors low or high impedance? i heard the turbo II injectors were high impedance and that the ca used low impedance injectors. could someone clear this up?

The TurboII injectors are low impedence. The 3rd gen RX-7 550s are high impedence. DSMs also use the same injectors, because I had them on my Eclipse and Talon. Also DSM 450s are low impedence. You can pick a set of those up for like 50 bucks.

Awsome, there just happens to be a broken DSM in my garage. Might as well take the injectors before its towed away.

Going to take the sidemount too :-)
