Hey as some might know I just bought another 240 with 2 big problems, the clutch is slipping bad (stupid old owner doing burnouts all the time). and the timing chain is making a terrible noise, much worse than my old 240s(which eventually went away).

I was just wondering If I can use the chain out of my old 240.

thanks everyone.

I don't see why u couldnt. If ur clutch is good you could also use that from the other car as well.

Yes it will work. Sound like you need some new tensioners and guides. First pull your valve cover off because there is a bracket on the top that quiets the timing chain so it doesn't it the valve cover. I had that bracket break off before and the noise got really loud. I had bad tensioners and guides though which made alot of extra slack which broke the bracket. I would seek advise from a expert mechanic who has experience working on 240sx's first hand. Let them listen to your car. Nick
