i just did the sr20det swap in my 92 hatch and i ordered a walbro 255 fuel pump but the company where i ordered it from is laging. my question was is it ok to run my stock fuel pump for now till i get the new one in? (it should be in next week) should i only cruise or can i get up on the gas a little? will it be ok? and what should i look out for when running the stock fuel pump? thanks any information will be great. thanks please get back at me asap.

If your going to drive it on the stock pump, at least stay out of boost. You can wind the motor out a bit, just don't give it too much load.

Highmilehatch sounds like he is speaking from experience. I was running my stock pump for about a month. The car would warm up and stop making any midrange power. From 2100rpm I'd get half into the throttle and the car would go nowhere. I'd pick a lower gear and off I'd go. I had to keep out of the throttle until 3k or more. Having experianced that and given the afordability and ease of install of a Walbro, I wouldn't tell anyone they should run the stock one. But, for my month of use the motor doesn't seem any worse for the wear and I never heard it ping.

its not worth the risk. if you have any other form of transportation, then don't do it.
