He thinks you're referring to another member "Mex".somecallmejohnny wrote:Never said anything about air suspension or lowering the car what so ever, all I asked was about the AWD system, if the tire sizes would damage the system

Running mismatched wheel/tire sizes (i.e., front to back axle) on an M is likely to cause problems with your M's AWD Attesa system ... even if the calculated diameters appear to be close, the rolling diameter can be different. Worst case, the Attesa system will see premature wear and likely to die sooner rather than later. If you don't plan to keep your car forever (like I do), then I support you could ignore this issue, but later buyers will not be happy.somecallmejohnny wrote:Hello everyone, I just recently bought my m35x coming from a g35 coupe. I got a sweet deal on some 2009 GTR wheels and wanted to know if i can use the stock tire sizes the GTR wheels come with which is
Front 265/40/20
ReAr 285/35/20
Is anyone where running GTR wheels on their AWD M? can i run this safely on my m35x without messing up my awd system?
thanks!
Staggered wheels and tires are not a good idea with the AWD models ...somecallmejohnny wrote:I found another set of gtr wheels with 235/35/20 and 255/35/20, this is going to look better and is a much better size and sidewall. I'm happy now
Yup I am getting a pretty sweet deal on the set in which if I don't like them I can even make a little profit on it. But thank you I think I should be fine, I rarely see any Ms with gtr wheels so I'm pretty stoked about putting them onflex128 wrote:Stock GT-R Wheels (2009-2014)

AWD should be fine usually the thing that messes with your AWD is the tire diameter because it will cause the tires to roll at different speeds Making our car think it's slipping.
Remember are AWD isn't on all the time so are cars are rear wheel drive until they detect slip so the offset shouldn't bother them.
But then hey trial and error is the only way if every one is scared to try something we will never find out. If I had the money for the GTR wheels I would buy them try them on if they work then i would keep them if not then I would just sell them and get my money back if you'r getting a deal on them shouldn't be a problem.
