Is anyone where running GTR wheels on their AWD M? can i run this safely on my m35x without messing up my awd system?

Unless you're lowered (like on air) those wheels are going to stick out last your fenders, not to mention throw your speedometer off

I don't think it would stick out too much like mexi flush, I have seen photos online with the wheels on stock suspension, yes it looks high but what I really want to know if it's going to mess up my AWD

Never said anything about air suspension or lowering the car what so ever, all I asked was about the AWD system, if the tire sizes would damage the system

I believe the stock size front tire for the gtrs are 255/40..did you mean that?

People will argue both ways on this matter...so folks are adamant against running staggered wheels on an awd car while some do it..I've always heard so Iong as the rolling diameter is close that you should be fine.

As for the look, I've never seen a stock M be able to fit the rear gtr wheels without being lowered. The +25 offset along with a 285 tire will stick out past the fender..that's the point I was trying to make earlier.

He thinks you're referring to another member "Mex".

I found another set of gtr wheels with 235/35/20 and 255/35/20, this is going to look better and is a much better size and sidewall. I'm happy now :)

Running mismatched wheel/tire sizes (i.e., front to back axle) on an M is likely to cause problems with your M's AWD Attesa system ... even if the calculated diameters appear to be close, the rolling diameter can be different. Worst case, the Attesa system will see premature wear and likely to die sooner rather than later. If you don't plan to keep your car forever (like I do), then I support you could ignore this issue, but later buyers will not be happy.

Basically, your X model M was designed for identical wheels and tires front and back ...

Staggered wheels and tires are not a good idea with the AWD models ... :frown:

the question of will the OEM tires fit, yes. WIll the rears stick out, yes. WIll it mess up your AWD, probly not considering the GTR is also AWD using those wheels. I mounted my GTR wheels with original tires to see how it would ride/look and since I do have air I raised it all the way up in the back and never had it hit the fenders on the road but I was nervous. Just so you know the fronts will need 20mm spacer minimum to look somewhat ok 25 preferred with those tires up front.

Stock GT-R Wheels (2009-2014)
Front 20 x 9.5 45 offset
Rear 20 x 10.5 25 offset

Tires (2009-2014)
255/40/20 Front 28” diameter
285/35/20 Rear 27.9” diameter

AWD should be fine usually the thing that messes with your AWD is the tire diameter because it will cause the tires to roll at different speeds Making our car think it's slipping.
Remember are AWD isn't on all the time so are cars are rear wheel drive until they detect slip so the offset shouldn't bother them.
But then hey trial and error is the only way if every one is scared to try something we will never find out. If I had the money for the GTR wheels I would buy them try them on if they work then i would keep them if not then I would just sell them and get my money back if you'r getting a deal on them shouldn't be a problem.

Yup I am getting a pretty sweet deal on the set in which if I don't like them I can even make a little profit on it. But thank you I think I should be fine, I rarely see any Ms with gtr wheels so I'm pretty stoked about putting them on
