Can I use FX35 rims?

I use FX35 18" rims with 245/45/R18. As far as I know (I'm not sure) they are 8" wide. Can I use 225/50/R18 tyres on them? Some tire calculators tell me, that I need to use at least 235-wide tire....

Are you saying you are using FX35 Rims or can you use FX35 Rims?

I show the FX35 Rims as having both the wrong offset and the wrong bore compared to the 'G'. They do appear to be the same as the 'M'.

Well, I had wrong title I use them (but with other bolts than stock) and they seem to be ok. But I want to swap to 225/50/18 and I'm not sure if it's possible (245 looks pretty narrow on them now...)

Are you saying you are using longer bolts because the bore is too small. If so then you just transferred the stress that is suppose to be carried by the bore to the bolts in the form of sheer stress. I list the bore for a FX35 as 66.1 and that for the 'G's AT 67.1 .

Not sure of the wheel size but if it is 18x8.5 then the tire size is listed at 265/60 - 18
