It's an 03 SE 6-speed, with the titanium package. I thought about calling a dealership, but I figured someone on here might know.

You can always just dump the clutch and if it spins two wheel I'm guessing you have lsd. Well thats how I found out in my 240sx at least.

That won't work. I had an open dif, but it would still spin 2 tires.

I could wait until winter time, find a road that is covered with ice only on one side, then floor it. That's what I did in my integra to verify my lsd was working, once it was installed. I was hoping that all Titanium editions had the lsd in 03.

It's actually fairly easy. The LSD came with the metal looking drilled gas pedal, and metal/rubber brake and clutch pedal. This is if no one has changed it to this though.

VIN will not tell if you have HLSD or not

The dealership should be able to tell you a list of options on your car if you give them your VIN

I had to get a part for my 94 GMC 4x4, so I gave the dealership the VIN and they printed me out a couple of pages including the gear ratio, trans type, engine, that it had a LSD and a host of other things.

I am not sure about 6th gen Maximas, but on the 3rd gens, there is a transmission code on the firewall tag and if it ends in a V, you have a limited slip diff.

Thanks for all the replies. I still don't know, but I haven't lost hope.

I dumped the clutch in a parking lot. I was in a hurry and didn't look very close, but I thought there was only one tire mark.

I have the metal drilled pedals, but that is part of the titanium package. It would make sense to me that the lsd would be part of the titanium package.

I called a dealership parts department and gave them my VIN. They said lsd was not on the list of options.

I'll check for a V at the end of the transmission code though. I may also take it to the service department of a bigger/better dealership. Maybe they can tell by looking at the car.

I just thought of something else. I'll put the front of the car up on jackstands, and spin 1 wheel. If the other wheel spins in the opposite direction, I think that might mean that it has an HLSD. Does that sound right?
