I guess it's all about where you bought it.

Used car dealership? If so...and you bought "as is" you might be screwed.

You know the place you bought it better than anyone....if they seem shady at all, they probably are.

Hope it works out for ya!

I think you do,

You may end up not getting any money back and just getting a different car. Was it bought from an Infiniti dealership?

Go to your state government's website, search there. Or call your local representative and talk to someone there. The $5,000 down is usually not refundable, just like any other type of deposit.

Seriously, check your state's laws. Some have a cool down period. Worst case, you can always ask the dealer. Perhaps see if they can work something out on a different car...

Hey iblingidawg

Welcome to NICOCalm down, take a deep breath.Do some research on used car sales in the State of NJI'm pretty sure there is a lemon law. However it is entirely possible your complaints can be easily fixed? I don't know where you are in NJ but I purchased my G35 at Circle Infiniti in West Long Branch. I got a great deal and so far excellent service. My advise is to take it to an Infiniti dealer for a complete checkout and inspection. You may want to take good care of the service advisor who will give you a full report on your vehicle. If the used car dealer misrepresented this vehicle in any way to you then you have a good chance to recover your money. If the Infiniti dealer can repair any defects that they discover then just deduct that from the purchase price. If you put the $5k on a credit card you can dispute the charge if they misrepresented the vehicle.

Good luck and stay calm and polite in trying to resolve this.
