can i swap 89 240sx motor to a 90 240sx?

hi,

my friend is offering me his motor from his 89 240sx, but i dont know if it will be a clean-take out-putback swap into my 90 240sx. will this be an easy swap? are they the same motor?

its the exact same engine, ka24e, so it should be a simple switch up

isnt the 89 SOHC and the 90 DOHC?

I'm still learning but i had thought so

nopeDOHC were in 91

it should be just fine

they are the same car so its like taking out 2 aaa batteries and putting in new ones for your remote, just make sure u reprogram the channels?!?!?!?!
