I had been having intermittent problems with the MAF, I would jiggle the wire and find a good spot to leave it at and all was fine for a few hundred miles. Anyway I ordered a new MAF connector and wire ends from Joe. I have the parts and was ready to install when I found out that I don't have enough wire left. When I install the small metal clips to the three wires it will be to tight or even not enough slack. I know I need to splice wire to wire, but will this be ok?? Any help will be appreciated!! I have a 94 Q. Wayne

Should be just fine. Solder the connections and use heat-shrink to protect and keep clean. I probably should do the same. What did those cost? Any part numbers? Thanks.

The connector was around $25, and each small metal clip that fit on the end of each wire was around $1.50. I think you have to crimp the metal ends. Forgive the dumb question but what is heat-shrinkK. Thanks

Plastic tubing that fits over the connection, then you heat it with a lighter or heat gun and it shrinks tight to seal the connection from the elements.
