Is there a way I can run the consult program to determine remaining CVT fluid life without going to the dealership? The delaership where I purchased my Rogue just closed and I have had bad experiences with the next closer one. If I need to go there, I would prefer to be armed with specific directions to them. Is the consult program a hand scanner or a more elaborate diagnostic tool?

The ConZult is a software application that was originally developed for the late model 300ZX (Z32)
It is basically a PC-version of the (very expensive) Nissan consult and offers
the same functionality plus extra features that are not possible with a Nissan consult.

Some of the Conzult's functions are:
- Checking and erasing DTC error-codes
- Manual operation of solenoids and relays
- Realtime monitoring of every sensor in the car
- Recording, analyzing and replaying sensor and solenoid data
- Access to the ECU's Read Only Memory (ROM), Fuelmaps, Timingmaps, etc.
- Temporarily adjustment of fuel and timing maps, ideal for tuning purposes

Most of all, the ConZult is an indispensable tool,
which can help in problem determination and is very useful for ECU tuning purposes

I believe it's a much more elaborate tool. Here is someone who was trying to get one for a GTR:

Sorry, I was under the impression it was modified to use on other vehicles.
There's a wide assortment of Nissan Consult 3 diagnostic tools on ebay, ranging in price from $350 to $1500.

Warning Zombie thread ressurection. Can anyone point me to a sample Consult program printout aong with a layman's explanation of what it means? I'm specifically interested in what it tells me regarding the remaining life of the CVT fluid.
