I'm new to this forum, hoping you guys can help me get my girlfriend some decent rims and tires.

I've searched here and googled but haven't seen anyone post exactly this swap. Has anyone put 235/65r18 from a Murano on a 2014 (2nd gen?) Rogue? I found a nice set locally. I know they're a bit bigger and the speedo will be off, but will they fit without rubbing? Will it destroy the transmission?

Thanks!

You should try them out if you can.

There was this guy on youtube with an accent who put 30 inch Murano wheels and tires onto his first generation Rogue but he never mentions rubbing but does show him driving it around.

It looked great but I always wondered what happens at full turns. :gotme

Personally, I had no problems with my nearly 30 inch tires and my speedometer is more accurate now. But I have a 1.5 inch lift on a first genner. Great acceleration still even with all terrains. Not too big or too small, perfection.

Since the stock size is 225/60 for 18" wheels on the 2nd Gen Rogues, those 235/65 should work OK without rubbing anything. That difference from OEM is not crazy. As you noted, the overall circumference will be larger so your speedo may be off. As long as all of the tires have same tread depth on the same size wheels, it won't have any negative impact to the AWD system.

Since you are looking at them locally, if I were in your shoes, I would definitely want to try them out and go for a short test drive. If seller is unwilling to do that, then keep looking elsewhere.

Thanks for the confidence guys. I'll let you know if it ends up happening! We already have a 4Runner on 33's and Tacoma on 38's, so why not just have every vehicle on oversized tires?!

I have a 2013 Rogue AWD. I bought 4 18" wheels from a 2009 Murano (for $100!) and put 235/55R18's on them. Offset was fine and cleared everything.

It should theoretically fit, but understand that aside from deviation in the speedometer reading, it will affect handling to some level as well. A good place to tinker measurements would be something like https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/ where you can pull sizing for different vehicles and see how it affects performance.

Maybe someone who successfully put on those slightly oversize tire/wheels combos could post up some pics?

Just wanted to update and say I couldn't get to them in time and ended up finding some stock rogue alloys with the stock 225 tires. so I can't comment if my idea worked. Hopefully someone will come along and post pics.
