Can I roll up a power window manuually?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I have a 1999 Nissan Sentra. My drivers side window will not roll up, but it will roll down. I know the inside needs to be replaced, however need a quick fix to get the window to roll up.

Is there a way to roll up the window manually?

Thanks so much.

First I'd try pulling the passenger side switch and swapping it onto the driver's side, see if it's a switch problem.

Not a real easy way, but you can run 12v direct to the + lead on the motor and ground out the - lead to the body.

Be careful - I'm not sure what the window motor looks like on that car...

You MAY be able to remove the door panel and get inside there and force the window up, but it's easier to just find the source of the problem.

This is the Sentra/200SX/G20 forum. You might want to check the 240 forum.

Presumably they are, motors are motors.
