Yes. Plug the hole left over in the back when you remove the actuator that opens and closes the butterflies. You may also want to plug the center hole where a small screw goes since you'll no longer have the rod that holds the butterflies in place. Remove the SCV sensor/ and or plug any vac lines left over.

If you read about the butterflies function, it seems you'd loss some low end torque (where the butterflies help airflow) but you'll see results in the higher end (where the butterflies obstruct airflow. The car feels better even though didn't notice a significant improvement. Regardless, emissions removal makes the engine bay looks cleaner and less things can go wrong.

It would be easier to tell you what you can keep.Fuel pressure regulator....vacuum line for brake booster....Idle air valve and the TPS.Everything else can go; egr, excess vacuum lines, water lines to intake manifold, charcoal canister pretty much anything that looks at you funny, take it out.

dwnshifter we have a good walk through on this over at ratsun for your pickup, both icehouse and myself have donw the swap into 620's. lol. Also, removing the butterfly's made no difference; the truck will be a rocket either way compared to that ol L-motor. peace.
