OK, it's 1AM and i'm under my s13 and I get this idea: Why can't I just cut the clutch line going to the Hydro Dampener. Then cut the line coming from the dampener going to the slave cyl. Then pull the flare nut off the rubber line going to the slave cyl. and put it over the line coming from the Master cyl. and re-flare the line coming from the master cyl. Now I can just bend the master cyl. line over the the rubber hose and tighten it down. This way I don't need some stupid adapter hose that cost money that I don't have. Basicly remove my hydro dampener for free. :ylsuper Does this sound good or is this one off those things that only sound good at 1AM? Just looking for some ideas or scolding befor I attempt this.

its 3am and i have no clue what you're talking about. I'm sure it's there for a reason. Having "dampener" in the name suggests that its a comfort thing. It might be there to dampen whatever forces to prolong the life of your transmission/ clutch components. But...if you think its a good idea for whatever reason, by all means do it! Just dont leave yourself kicking your own *** for overlooking something during the removal. good luck!

You don't need to cut or re-flare anything. Also what you are talking about has been around for a long time. Here's 2 different links both showing you the exact same thing.

thanx SWIFT_DRIFT, I didn't realize the the two flare nuts where the same. One looked slightly different than the other. Maybee it was just the angle I was looking at them.
