When I randomly searching for a co-worker some dealers having some available cars for sale yesterday I found Infiniti of Bellevue, (Washington) had a 2017 Q70S in the show room. Examining a few of the pictures (and drooling) the Rear profile picture lent me a creative idea, since the newly re-designed rear bumper already has what looks to be a Black Diffuser recessed and some aero styling. The Moding question then is anyone put a 2017 Q70S bumper on a M37?

I would Imagine there may be so minor changes to the clips and fasteners which can be easily modified or changed out completely with the 2017 hardware (for some added expense)
but the look is just as nice as some aftermarket bumpers.Image
Now Infinitipartsonline.com wont have it uploaded and ready to ship probably until 2018, currently the 2016 Q70 bumper (non Sport) is 475.00 w/o parking sensors, but if we can assume a bit more money for the styling enhancements maybe ($625.00) plus paint it may be much cheaper than an aftermarket bumper.
Also I would be very interested if this thing is a 2 piece bumper or just molded as to look like it Image

If anyone has some ideas or more insight on the possibility of this mod working...or possible works at an infiniti dealership Chime In!

Thoughts?!

Tail lights and reverse lights are different on the M37, so you might have to change out trunk and tail lights to get it to fit correctly, might start getting a little cost prohibitive vs aftermarket once you factor those costs in.

But don't let a little money get in the way of style...lol. GO FOR IT!!! and post up your pics!!!

Bumper, grill and headlights needed in the front and bumper, trunk lid and tail lights needed in the rear to make it work.

:spitout: Oooh Snap...I wasn't aware of the Trunk and light changes, yes, that does raise the price tag expeditiously...think I will go aftermarket.

I couldn't tell right away from the pics that there was such a pronounced difference in the lighting and trunk lid, so thanks for the input guys :bigthumb:

Yes it is possible, several M37 owners I follow from Japan on instagram have done the conversion and I know about 3 people in the states that have done it as well. For the front you would need to replace the front bumper cover, grill and headlights and fog lights, you would also need to get a custom wire harness as the Q70 lights use LED and the M37 doesn't. And for the rear you would need to replace the bumper cover, tail lights and the mid portion of the trunk. The cost of the conversion is very costly, to save money you can salvage the good parts from wreaked Q70's but that's going to be very hard and time consuming. I've been wanting to do the conversion since I first found out about it a few months ago but it's going to be a long time before I can.

Someone here in the US has the full conversion for sale for 4,000. If I am correct the 2015-2017 bumpers and headlights are the same so look at a 2015 kit. Also we have a FB M37/56 Q70 page where I think the conversion is listed for sale check it out.

if you're referring to the black 2015+ conversion that was for sale on the Facebook group page, I'm fairly certain it's been sold already.

I did my 2013 m37 back changed the trunk bumper tail lights and had to adjust the hole for the lights to fit but everything came out to around $1700 with paint
It was well worth it and I used all OEM parts

Any pics of the process would be awesome, not sure I am really considering this anymore but I think it would be cool to see :dance
