hey guys, I have a Versa S sedan with the single disc CD player.. I am wanting to get the 6 disc CD changer w/aux input that comes on the SL model.. curious if I can do this without having to do anything special on the install.. will I be able to use the same plugs?

Yes.

And the search button is a great tool because this has been covered many times before.

LOL, ooooohhh trust me.. I really didn't want to.

You asked...so here's the story.

It was my dad's in what I called his "mid-life crisis car". He had it for about 6 months. He is 6'3" with bad knees so getting in and out of it was hard for him. He liked to buy cars and somehow we ended up with 7 cars in a 4 person family. We started selling some of them off. The GT was on the market for 8 months without a bite. Jokingly I said, "Hey, lets put my Bronco up for sale and see what we can get." He agreed.

Now, my friend always loved my Bronco. He had an old '90 Civic hatchback which was falling apart. I was walking out to my truck on the driveway to put the For Sale signs on before taking it down to the corner. His mom drove up to drop something off to my mom and said, "Hey. You selling your Bronco?". I said, "Yea". She said, "I'll take it". It was that easy.

I was a senior in high school and I had bought the Bronco with my own money. My dad made me a deal in that I'd give him the money I got from my truck and he'd give me the GT as an early grad gift.

Fast forward to my first semester in college. No job, $2500 a year in insurance, had 86k on it and needed repairs (not breaking down, just normal high mileage stuff but foreign sports car = not cheap to fix), and needed 93 octane.

I had to do the smart thing and get rid of it. Plus, while I had it in High School in Pensacola, FL I was the pimp. Everyone noticed it. In college I though I'd be cool until I got there and was parking next to brand new BMW's and Mercedes. Got the S-10 which ended up being the biggest mistake of my life so far. Chevy....never again.

Anyhoo, look just above this thread and you'll see a box with a big blinking "SEARCH" in read. Click that. Don't feel bad. I missed it to at first too

Yea, I loved it. It was a Red SL. I agree, I don't like the later styled rounded spoiler. Mine was the flat one with curved ends. The only thing that sucked about it was that it was an automatic. But I had a button for Power or Economy shifting and also for Sport or Touring suspension. It would tighten the suspension for sport so you could feel a nickel on the road. Plus, you don't realize how fast you go in it. I was driving home from college and suddenly realized I was passing everyone...I looked down and I was going 133!

Working on it was hard though, the engine compartment was packed so tight you couldn't get your hand in anywhere. I tried to install new spark plugs and that was a chore. I got the front 3 fine, but the back three you had to take the top of the engine apart to get to them. Ended up taking to a family friend mechanic to get it done.

Scroll to the top of the page, see that blinking "Search" with a magnifying glass graphic? Yah... that one.
