Do I really have to spend $275 on a entire control arm or is there a way to just replace the bushings?

How do you know the lower control arm is not bent? The usual reason bushings are not available separately. 1/16" wrong is enough to make the old unit unusable

$275 is inexpensive compared to the lower arms on Lexus or other lux cars.

BMW cost $240- $375

Be glad the old units are steel compared to the lighter softer new all aluminum versions.

Is that Joe's price? Is that the whole unit with the ball joint?

The bushing can be replaced with poly units for a Z32 300zx.

For those that want to redesign their suspension and increase impact harshness and vibration solid poly is always an option.Energy Suspension 1131 Via CallejonSan Clemente, CA 92673http://www.energysuspension.comPhone(949) 361-3935Fax (949) 361-3940

I have these on my Q45t.

While they do not wear out, they are harsher. I think a whole suspension of polyurethane instead of silicone filled rubber would be pretty harsh.

Thats the price my mechanic quoted me with out labor. I am gonna have it done as soon as I fix yet a new problem since posting this inquiry. I am gonna put it back in the shop to have the front suspension worked on ASAP, but I now need it to pass smog first. . All in all I like this car so I will invest some patience into the matter.
